Contact Lens discomfort

There are many people who are skeptic regarding the use of contact lenses. These people who have worn spectacles for so many years are now afraid of switching to contact lens as they assume there will be a fair amount of discomfort coming with wearing them. There are many people who are very comfortable wearing them and many others who frequently suffer uneasiness due to contact lenses.
There might be few problems a new contact lens user might have to face but these are mostly because of not knowing how to wear them and clean them. This problem with time however gets resolved.
Fortunately solutions to these problems are available nowadays.

Check Your Fitting
Contact lens should fit you properly and it should be made sure with the professional that no such problems regarding fits are prevalent in lens you take. Thus, you can say that contact lenses are just like cloths and they need to have proper fit to make you comfortable.

Change Lenses
If you are wearing disposable lens make sure you change on the stipulated time. If the discomfort arises after wearing these lens, you should check on dates and make sure that new lens are worn on the time scheduled.

Artificial Tears
One of the common eye problems is dry eye and if this problem persists you can take the help of eye drops and other medications and lubricants which are used to keep your eyes moist. However, before going in for any product make sure it’s the one you are looking for according to your requirement.
These eyes drops and lubricants for moistening eye are not required regularly but in case you feel that you need it regularly as the problem persists you might need to consider going to a doctor or getting other product.

Dry Eyes Contacts
Daily replacement contacts are best for people who suffer from dry eye frequently. This is because there is not enough time for any kinds of deposit formation which may soak up the moist of your eyes and make it dry. A new product called silicone hydrogel is also useful in this case as it allows more interaction of oxygen with eyes.

Keep them in a case
To keep all the discomfort at bay one needs to put the contact lens in the contact lens case after its been used. Regular check ups and suggestions should be taken from an eye care practitioner if any problem occurs. Hard contact lens and cheap contact lenses should be avoided.

For the first time users, facing few problems in the initial period is bound to occur.
After few days or a couple of months of usage of contact lenses the discomfort that occurs in beginning slowly disappears. It should be kept in mind that any kind of sudden problem may even be due to hair or any foreign particle entering your eyes while lenses are on.
